International Technical Services (ITS).

Internal field support to meet customer needs.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator has three ITS centra in Asia, America and Europe. Below you'll find a description of ITS America.

Our International Technical Services (ITS) center, formely NationalTechnicalServices, is located in Dallas, TX. ITS-Americas provides our mechanics with the latest in diagnostic tools, trouble-shooting support, PC board repair and technical training.

All these efforts are geared towards providing customers with a company that can service all major brands of elevators. Customers can now choose one service provider to maintain almost any major brand of elevator.

ITS-Americas trains more than 400 technicians a year while issuing over 2,000 diagnostic tools which allow technicians to easily pinpoint problems. This training is to help support the more than 50,000 units manufactured by other companies that ThyssenKrupp Elevator maintains.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator's ITS-Americas Center supplies over 3,000 diagnostic tools to assist service technicians in the field.

With the diagnostic tools ITS-Americas provides, ThyssenKrupp Elevator service technicians can troubleshoot a multitude of different elevator controllers between four different competitors.


Equipment Support.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator's ITS-Americas has the experience, dedication and the work ethic to help support the service technicians of ThyssenKrupp Elevator. Its field engineers provide 24-hour telephone support for unique troubleshooting situations. In addition, they're packed and ready to travel to any location should the need arise.

ITS-Americas can provide assistance in servicing almost any competitor elevator. How do they do it? By operating a multi-million dollar technical support facility designed with the service technician working on your elevator in mind. And with nine field engineers on staff, ITS-Americas can provide real time assistance to your service technician.


PC Boards.
Repair and replacement.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator's ITS-Americas exchanges more than 900 PC boards per year while repairing more than 6,200 defective PC boards per year. Quite impressive when you stop to think that there are only seven repair technicians cranking out the PC boards. The repair technicians wouldn't be able to do their job effectively if it wasn't for the state-of-the-art laboratory that utilizes functional testing equipment, sophisticated diagnostic techniques and simulators.

ITS-Americas also offers 24-hour turnaround service, and in some cases same day service, for elevator shutdowns. ITS-Americas' inventory of more than 2,000 PC boards, combined with an overnight exchange program with our field offices, keeps elevator shutdowns to a minimum. That's reassuring if you're a building owner.


Technical Publications.
International Technical Services 101.

A service technician is only as good as the information he knows or the tools he carries. That's why ThyssenKrupp Elevator's ITS-Americas provides their service technicians with specific competitor product manuals. The staff of technical writers at ITS-Americas develop manufacturer and model-specific service manuals that contain diagnostic, adjustment, and technical information. And if something changes on a competitor product, ITS-Americas utilizes the company's network infrastructure to gather field information on tips and updates.


Simulators.
Training, troubleshooting, discovery.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator's ITS-Americas uses simulators to train, troubleshoot, conduct system level testing and discover innovative techniques. With a multitude of different simulators, it's tough to find a ThyssenKrupp Elevator service technician that could not maintain any competitor's elevator.

As elevator manufacturers change and update their elevator systems and technical requirements, ITS-Americas keeps ThyssenKrupp Elevator service technicians informed by participating in hands-on instruction with simulators. NTS field engineers provide 24-hour telephone support for unique troubleshooting situations. In addition, they're packed and ready to travel to any location should the need arise.

Experienced technicians at ITS-Americas annually repair thousands of PC boards and critical components for a wide variety of manufacturers, including Otis, Schindler, Kone, Westinghouse, Dover, Montgomery, Haughton, U.S. Elevator, Fujitec and many others.

ITS-Americas' inventory of more than 2,000 PC boards and component inventories combined with an overnight exchange program with our field offices keeps elevator downtime to a minimum. In emergency situations ITS-Americas offers 24-hour turnaround service for elevator PC board repairs.
